Sometimes an interviewer asks just the right questions. This was definitely the case when Tiny Hussey asked me to do a podcast for her site, thisgirlsails.com. Tina is a professional sailor from Canada, now sailing in Australia. She now wants to encourage other women to get truly involved and confident on board. I was onboard Sahula in Melbourne, Australia when we recorded this podcast. Since then we have voyaged north along the coast of New South Wales and on to Queensland. The restrictions to control Covid 19 have not affected us as much as they have those on shore as we have not been required to stay in any one anchorage so have meandered from one isolated cove to the next, going ashore only for groceries, fuel and water when necessary. And as Sahula is registered in Queensland, we have been allowed to enter this state.
We are currently in Mooloolaba, waiting for tomorrows high tide to head northward again towards Hervey bay where the humpback whales are starting to gather and the water is warmer. With luck we will be able to anchor at Lady Elliott coral atoll and enjoy some snorkling.
